If I came away from the series with one indelible impression, it is that her sister Kathleen has more secrets in her head than she just about knows what to do with. I guarantee that she knows way more about what happened than she let on. It almost came across like her answers were coached. She also seemed a bit... odd. I think she knew of her sister's plans, or was at least not at all surprised when she did what she did.
